Welcome to Waterloo Skip Hire. By renting a skip from us, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and satisfactory experience.
1. Rental Agreement
All rentals are subject to the terms outlined in this agreement. By entering into a rental contract, you accept responsibility for adhering to these conditions.
1.1 Booking Process
- Reservation: Bookings can be made online or by phone.
- Confirmation: A confirmation email or message will be sent upon successful booking.
- Deposit: A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
1.2 Rental Duration
The standard rental period is 14 days. Extensions may be requested prior to the end of the rental period and are subject to availability and additional charges.
2. Payment Terms
All payments must be made in full by the due date specified in your invoice. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
2.1 Late Payments
- Interest: Late payments may incur interest charges.
- Suspension of Service: Continued non-payment may result in suspension or termination of services.
3. Waste Acceptance
Only the following types of waste are accepted for disposal in our skips:
- Household waste
- Garden refuse
- Construction and demolition waste
Prohibited items include:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, chemicals)
- Electrical appliances
- Medicines and pharmaceuticals
4. Site Placement
You are responsible for ensuring that the skip is placed in a safe and appropriate location on your property. The skip must not obstruct pathways, entrances, or cause any hazard.
4.1 Ground Stability
Ensure the ground is stable and can support the weight of the skip when fully loaded. Any damage resulting from improper placement will be your responsibility.
5. Liability
Waterloo Skip Hire is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of our skips, including but not limited to:
- Damage to property
- Personal injury
- Loss of belongings
It is recommended to obtain appropriate insurance to cover potential risks.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. Refunds will be processed based on the time remaining in the rental period:
- More than 7 days: Full refund minus any deposit if applicable.
- 3-7 days: 50% refund.
- Less than 3 days: No refund.
6.1 Early Returns
If you return the skip earlier than the agreed rental period, no additional charges will apply, but refunds are subject to the cancellation policy.
7. Insurance
While our skip hire service includes standard insurance, it is advisable to ensure that your property insurance covers any potential damages related to skip placement and use.
7.1 Damage Coverage
In the event of damage caused by the skip, Waterloo Skip Hire will assess liability and may charge for repairs or replacement as necessary.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Waterloo Skip Hire harmless against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services in violation of these terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Waterloo Skip Hire operates. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
10. Changes to Terms
Waterloo Skip Hire reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be communicated via our official channels, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
